The Deep Decoction method of making a mushroom extract involves a thorough and prolonged hot water process to ensure maximum extraction of beneficial compounds from tough and fibrous mushroom materials. This method is particularly effective for mushrooms like shiitake.
We grow and dry our own Shiitake on our farm just outside Margate, before putting them through the extraction process. We then add alcohol as a preservative.
The final product will have at least 20% alcohol ABV.
